VENUE MANAGEMENT RETRAINED
Venue Management look after the events that take place within the Town Hall Ballroom. We held 386 events in the Ballroom in the financial year 2010-11 with 65,495 visitors attending. We are always on hand to provide First Aid assistance when necessary and the team have recently renewed their defibrillator training provided by North West Ambulance Service.
A defibrillator is a machine used to shock the victim's heart and restore the heart's normal rhythmic patterns. When a defibrillator is used, it in effect kicks the heart into action again, causing it to resume sending blood throughout the body. (August 2011)
HERITAGE OPEN DAYS
Once again Stockport Town Hall is participating in Stockport's Heritage Open Days (8 - 11 September), a National scheme where venues open their doors for free. The Town Hall is open to the public on Thursday 8 September 2011.
PROMOTING STOCKPORT TOWN HALL
Venue Management will attend the Manchester Wedding Show on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 October 2011. Opening Times: 10am - 5pm. Tickets are £8 in advance and £9 on the door. A Grade II listed structure in the heart of the city, Manchester Central has been part of the landscape for nearly 130 years. Having recently undergone a £28 million transformation it now offers over 10,000msq of exhibition space. It is a brilliant space to showcase our venues. (July 2011)
JEWELLERY & CRAFT FAIRS
This year Venue Management are increasing their Jewellery and Craft events to hold 4 in a year. The events have been extremely popular and are all sold out for the remaining dates in 2011. (April 2011)
WEDDING FAYRE AT STOCKPORT TOWN HALL
Stockport Town Hall are holding a Wedding Fayre, Sunday 23 October 2011, 11.00am - 3.00pm.
A superb selection of the area’s finest wedding specialists will be on hand to provide you with expert advice on all areas of your wedding day.

FRED PERRY HOUSE
Stockport Council’s new civic building, Fred Perry House was formally opened by His Royal Highness, the Earl of Wessex, on Thursday 18 November 2010. Venue Management oversee the bookings of the first floor conference suite. A variety of rooms are available to hire. (January 2011)

2010 HOSPITALITY ASSURED RESULT
Venue Management’s result for 2010 is 73.5% as opposed to 72.9% previous year. Any increase is a fundamental achievement as it is not a given that an increase will be achieved year on year. The current highest score for a Local Authority is 73.6% we are 0.01% behind them. The accreditation is 10 steps. This year we improved on 6 steps. (October 2010)

CUSTOMER FEEDBACK
Below are our latest figures on key feedback areas.
- 96% of stall holders at our Jewellery and Craft Fair in October 2009 felt the running of the event was either good / excellent.
- We've experienced a 2% increase in our value for money being described as ‘superb or very good’ for the year 09/10.
- We've achieved a 6% increase when customers have been asked ‘How Likely are you to recommend a friend to Stockport Town Hall’.
- Customers stated they were 100% happy with staff at their event. (June 2010)
